Ecogas expands leadership team
As one of GasNZ's gas producer members – and the first that will be injecting biomethane into the natural gas network, Ecogas is moving ahead in its business growth and expanding its operations across the motu. To meet the increasing demands of its expanding network, Ecogas has bolstered its leadership team.
Ecogas has announced that Dr. Alzbeta Bouskova Houghton will move from her previous role of General Manager to the role of Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Alzbeta will support the technical aspects of Ecogas’s business, focusing on the design and development of new projects, and advising on improvements at operational facilities, including the new Ōtautahi Christchurch Organics Processing Facility.
They have also appointed Andrew Bedford as their North Island Manager. Andrew brings a wealth of operational management experience from a variety of industries, which he will now apply to Ecogas's operations. In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for all operational matters on the North Island, with support from the teams at the Reporoa Organics Processing Facility and the Papakura Sorting and Consolidation Facility.
Fraser Jonker, Managing Director of Ecogas, stated, "The expansion of our team is an exciting time for the business. By enabling our team members to focus on their specialist skillsets and expertise, we are positioning ourselves for further growth."
Ecogas continues to develop a national network of assets using Anaerobic Digestion at scale. These facilities provide responsible and circular solutions, transforming problematic and inedible organic waste streams into renewable energy and fertiliser.
GasNZ is proud to support Ecogas in its mission to create sustainable solutions for organic waste management, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future for New Zealand.
